AUDITIONS: May 26-27
Auditions for the Hart Community Performing Arts Association’s production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas will be held Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hart Middle School, 308 West Johnson Street, Hart. Audition participants are asked to please use the back door entrance on the west side of the building. The entire community is invited to take part.
The classical musical will be performed Friday, July 24, Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 at Hart Public Schools Auditorium.
Directed by David Moul, and supported by a production team made up of experienced theatre veterans, the production is open to performers ages 13 and older. Those auditioning are asked to prepare a traditional Christmas song that showcases a smooth, classic vocal style inspired by beloved vintage holiday entertainers.
Children ages 8 to 12 are welcome to participate in the production’s Children’s Chorus and do not need to audition. The Children’s Chorus will take part in special rehearsals designed to teach basic theatre skills, along with instruction in singing and choreography. Participants will learn and perform in two featured ensemble numbers in the production.
In addition to performers, HCPAA is also seeking community members interested in helping behind the scenes. Volunteers with skills in sewing costumes, set construction, painting, prop making, and other theatrical crafts are encouraged to get involved and may contact David Moul at dmoul@hartseries.org.

A LITTLE ABOUT US
Thank you for your interest in the Hart Community Performing Arts Series. All concerts are held in the Hart Public Schools Auditorium, located in the Hart Middle School at 308 W. Johnson St. in Hart. The Series is entering its 26th season, presenting the finest in classical music, jazz, voice, and dance to our community and to the students in our area schools. The Series is a nonprofit community endeavor, funded by local patrons. Those friends have allowed the Series to grow and prosper, to the point where we are able to present fine artists from across the region, the nation, and, indeed, the entire globe!
A fundamental aspect of the Series is that each of the artists who come to Hart is asked to present to students in addition to their evening concerts. These student presentations are conducted through an ongoing collaboration with the Hart Public Schools and the support of the school district has been a vital aspect of the series since its inception. Over the years, our supporters have allowed us to provide many thousands of student experiences with the fine performing arts. The supporters who make this series possible constitute a unique community, composed of individuals, organizations, and businesses who are dedicated to enriching the cultural life of our community and broadening the cultural experiences of our students. We are tremendously grateful to each of them and hope that you will choose to join them!
There are multiple ways in which you can support the series. You can purchase season tickets or become a silver, gold, or platinum level patron. You can sponsor the series by buying a display ad in our season-long program. Information on all of these ways to provide support can be found on our "tickets" page. You will also find there a link to the 2024-2025 support level form. If you need any further information about the series, please contact Artistic Director, Tom Kirk.
